This groundbreaking 3-CD set pays tribute to his achievements in documenting the entire history of postwar black music, from blues (Lightnin' Hopkins, Elmore James, etc.) to doo-wop (Channels, Rainbows, etc.), R&B (Gladys Knight, Lee Dorsey, etc.), soul (Joe Heywood, Kip Anderson, etc.), and even old school rap (Grandmaster Flash, The Treacherous Three, etc.)! Bobby Robinson's life story was the history of US black music! Includes many songs that have never been released on CD before!
