It features legendary drummer Michael Carvin, who also participated in Pharoah Sanders' live album, George Harper on sax, Bob Frazier on trumpet, and Al Hall and Henry Franklin, who are familiar to the Black Jazz Series, making it a soulful album using a wide variety of instrumental sounds.
