Meredith Godreux, aka Gregory and the Hawk, released her limpid debut album in 2008 on the Fat Cat label, which has produced Sigur Rós and Mumm. The songs are catchy, pop-oriented, and slightly sad, and her cute and cool voice that invites all listeners to a dream world is extremely pleasant. Produced by Adam Pierce of Myth Parade, the sound is beautiful and dazzling, with a shoegaze flavor sprinkled over an acoustic ensemble base.
