Boogie-woogie is the talk of the town. What is boogie-woogie? This is it!

This compilation explores the roots of the song that lit up Japan just after the war! Boogie Woogie, a genre of blues music that became popular among African-Americans at the end of the 1920s, boomed in the late 30s and remained popular until the early 50s, contributing greatly to the development of jump blues and having a profound influence on rhythm & blues and rock & roll.  "What is boogie woogie?" This compilation focuses on pre-war works, mainly before the birth of that music, and is intended to be enjoyed in a casual and informal way without any rigidities. The songs were selected by Hitoshi Koide, who is also known as the pre-war researcher, to create a compilation of easygoing boogie-woogie seeking songs! The first time the term 'boogie woogie' was used, Pine Top Smith's 1929 hit 'Pine Top's Boogie Woogie' was a real goner!
